"Our wines have been winning major awards at competitions throughout the USA," says De Conti, "and we are proud of this recognition and respect. We created these new wines with an even higher level of refinement in mind. We began by identifying, and in two cases purchasing, specific vineyards in Carneros for their truly remarkable fruit. These became the foundation of our Reserve Wines—wines we believe will compare favorably with some of the best wines in the world."
The grapes for the new Ca' Momi reserve wines were hand-selected from several premium vineyards across the Napa Valley, including the two vineyards Ca' Momi recently purchased in the Napa Carneros.
"These first Reserve releases are a landmark for us," says De Conti. "They are not only our first reserve wines; they also capture what we hope will be the future of Ca' Momi reserves: great wines made from the fruit of our own vineyards."
The wines are labeled with a boldly iconic image of Ca' Momi, the owners' home in Veneto, Italy. The Napa Valley Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon has a suggested retail price of $68, the Napa Valley Reserve Chardonnay is $38, and the Napa Valley Reserve Pinot Noir is $52.
About Ca' Momi Winery
Ca' Momi is owned and operated by three Italians – Dario De Conti, Valentina Guolo-Migotto and Stefano Migotto – whose work is a tribute to the land of their birth and the food and wines that they love. Ca' Momi's owners came to the Napa Valley to blend the spirit of their Italian heritage, the obsessive care of their Old-World winemaking style, and Napa Valley's wine grapes – which they believe to be the world's finest. Ca' Momi wines capture the vision and expertise of co-winemakers Dario and Stefano. In Italy, wine is an integral part of life. Ca' Momi wines are meant to be enjoyed each night with family, friends, conversation and laughter. Ca' Momi Winery has been named one of the Top 10 Hot Small Brands for 2012 by Wine Business Monthly – a list that honors wineries that are innovative, curious, adventurous and, most of all, producing delicious wine.
